Dr. Koota has been practicing Urology in Central New Jersey since 1997. He was named Top Doc by NJ Monthly Magazine in 2016.
Dr. Koota has clinical expertise in all aspects of Urology, including Urologic Oncology, Stone disease, Benign Prostatic Flyperplasia (BP1-1), male and female incontinence, laparoscopy, no scalpel vasectomy, erectile dysfunction, urinary reconstruction, and minimally invasive surgery.
He has surgical privileges at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center in New Brunswick, Saint Peter’s University Hospital and Princeton Medical Center. He has served as Chief of the Urology Section at St. Peter’s University Hospital since 2008.
Dr. Koota has been recognized for his commitment to teaching with the Voluntary Faculty Teaching Award in Urology from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 2008, 2011, 2012 and 2014. Additionally, vitals.com has awarded Dr. Koota its Patient’s Choice Award as well as its Teaching Excellence Award.
Dr. Koota graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Williams College in 1987. He later received his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine in 1991. He completed his urology residency at George Washington University in 1997. During this time he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honor society and was named a Pfizer Scholar in Urology.
Dr. Koota has also been recognized as a 2016 Top Doctors of Urology by New Jersey Monthly magazine.
