John J. Sanzone, MD

Dr. John Sanzone graduated from the University of North Carolina (UNC) with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. At UNC he played for the men’s varsity baseball team and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Phi Beta honor societies. He earned his medical degree from Bowman Gray School of Medicine where he was awarded the Matsumae Award for excellence in the field of surgery and Bard Urologic Award for most promise in urologic surgery. At Bowman Gray, he was also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Society.
Dr. Sanzone completed the residency program in the department of urology at Yale, where he also completed a general surgery internship. Dr. Sanzone is board certified by the American Board of Urology.
