Urogynecology is a sub-specialty of urology and gynecology that focuses on disorders of the female pelvic floor. At New Jersey Urology (NJU), our fellowship-trained and board-certified physicians specialize in offering comprehensive services to women living with urological conditions of the pelvic region, including the pelvic floor, organs, muscles, and connective tissue.


What is a Urogynecologist?

A urogynecologist is a physician who is:

  • Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.
  • Fellowship-trained in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. This fellowship includes additional training that focuses on advanced treatment options for pelvic floor disorders, including surgical and non-surgical therapies.
